Peace Out

Letman
Not much to say today. I’m really tired of and bummed out about a lot of things (a single tear drops). Boring stuff really. I’m in dire need of a porch swing this evening. If I had it my way I believe I would gently push my computer monitor off the desk, give my dismayed co-workers nothing but a beauty-queen-parade-wave on the way out, load up the dog and van, head out into the desert to a nice dusty pine cabin (with a porch swing of course) at least five or six hours outside of town, fry up a God-blessed mess of catfish and get piss drunk off cheap blood red table wine till the early morning. This, all the while listening to the new Brightblack Morning Light album…good music, like good art, with subtle, wide dripping strokes of blustering modesty…ok, I’m cheesing myself out just a bit. I first saw Brightblack at Martin’s in Jackson, MS a few years back and have loved them ever since. Next time you find yourself at home during a light mid-day rain shower, pop Motion to Rejoin by Brightblack on the hi-fi and let the good “vibes” take over man. Motion to Rejoin was recorded from the juice of 4 solar panels in an adobe in a secluded enchanted mesa. Dig it.
